Olson, Marguerite Lois Born September 27, 1938 in Wyandotte, MI to Charles and Ruth (nee Birchman) Dorrance. Graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1956 where she was a member of the high school choir and a cappella choir. Married Jack Vincent in 1956 and together they had six children. On January 22, 1978 she was confirmed in the lutheran faith at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church in Allen Park, MI. On April 1, 1981 she married Gordon Olson, blending two families and adding two more children to the family. Gordon and Marge faithfully attended and served the Lord at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church prior to transferring their membership to St John's Lutheran Church in Taylor, MI. Marge was a member of the Altar Guild Society and Ladies Aide at both churches. She was elected Lutheran Woman of the Year in 2008 by the Michigan Council of Lutheran Women. She and Gordon spent time on the Evangelism Committee and also volunteered as Spiritual Support Givers at Heritage Hospital in Taylor, MI. While raising her family Marge worked many years for various nursing homes including Taylor Living Center for Seniors, Heartland Nursing Home and the Terrance. Other places touched by Marge's kind heart were Secretary of State Office for the State of Michigan, K-Mart, Wyandotte Alarm, Fashion Bug and Martinizing Cleaners. Marge in her younger years was a "motorcycle mama", riding in a motorcycle club with Jack. She enjoyed bowling, music, dance and her Red Wings, Tigers and Lions. Beloved wife of Gordon. Loving mother of Jon (Kathy), Mike (Cindy), Linda (Ron), Ronnie, Kerry (Sherman), Leonard (Rachel), Mike (Jennifer) and the late Roy. Dearest mother-in-law of Tammy. Dear grandmother of 16 and great-grandmother of 13.
