Maria Puente (nee Amezquita) passed away May 20, 2019 in Riverview, Michigan.

She joins her beloved husband Alfonso in eternal peace.
Proud mother of Cesar (Sharon) Puente, and Ruben (Joan) Puente.
Caring grandmother of Dahlia, Natale, Laurin, and Philip.
Dear sister of Luz Maria, Raquel, Lidia, Rita, Lupe, Ofelia, Yolanda, and Abel.
Loved greatly by those family members who assisted with her care.

Maria was an amazing woman who lived a generous life. She was strong and had a positive outlook no matter what she faced. Many people will remember her for her beautiful smile and a wonderful sense of humor. She had a penchant for telling stories and loved to watch her favorites through novelas. Maria will be greatly missed by those with the honor of knowing her.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 25 from 10AM-11AM with a funeral service at 11AM. All services will be located at the Taylor Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 Telegraph. Maria will be laid to rest with Alfonso at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery.
