Marie Guzina passed away on November 21, 2020 at the age of 84.

Beloved wife of the late Michael.

Loving mother of Elizabeth (Bill) Bailey.

Cherished grandmother of Brittany (Nick), Eric Lexi, and Emily.

Proud great grandmother of Mariah and Kinslee.

Dear sister of Frances DeLuca.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband; sister, Diane Domingo; and her parents Frank and Joanna DeLuca.

She was born on March 25, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Frank and Joanna DeLuca. Marie was a happy, fun-loving person who loved spending time with her family and friends.  Being a true Italian, she was a great cook and baker. She enjoyed sewing but was most happy relaxing and reading a book.

Marie loved to go camping – Elizabeth will cherish the memories she has of going camping every summer. As soon as she was out of school for the summer, she and her parents would pack up and stay at their trailer in Irish Hills camping until school started in the fall.  Marie continued this tradition up until just a few years ago, always taking a stack of books with her to enjoy.

One thing her family will remember about Marie is how fun she could be, especially dancing the night away at a few family weddings.   Marie's family and friends will cherish these memories they have and she will truly be missed by everyone.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 from 3:00PM until 8:00PM with a Funeral Service at 7:00PM at the Taylor Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 Telegraph Rd. The funeral home staff will politely assist with social gathering protocols to ensure public safety by limiting the number of visitors to 25 people or less at a time in the funeral home.
