Marilyn Madlinger, 93, of Dearborn, Michigan, formerly a longtime resident of Milford, Michigan, passed away on July 20, 2026.
Born in 1933, Michigan, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Carl and Ruth (Deloney) Moore. She grew up in Wayne, graduating from Wayne High School in 1950 before continuing her education at Cleary College where she studied Medical Secretarial Training. She worked for 30 years as an Administrative Assistant at Eloise Hospital in Wayne.
In 1957, Marilyn was married to Dave Madlinger with whom she shared 64 loving years of a devoted partnership until his passing in 2021. They enjoyed travel, especially riverboat cruises on the Mississippi River, and the company of several Husky dogs that traveled with them whenever possible.
She was an accomplished piano player who entertained her fellow residents at Henry Ford Village with nightly pre-dinner concerts. Marilyn will be remembered as a kind, witty, and intelligent person who maintained lifelong relationships with childhood friends and co-workers.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Betty Luzynski of Howell, MI, nephews Joe Luzynski, David Luzynski, Bob Luzynski, Todd Antennucci, and Brett Antennuci as well as several great nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering for Marilyn and Dave will take place at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home on Saturday, September 12 from 12:00-2:30. Inurnment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly on Monday, September 14 at 11:00am.
