MACHUTA, MARION

Age 97, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2017.

  • Beloved wife of the late Max Machuta Sr.
  • Dear mother of Max  (Suzette), John (Kathy), & Mimi Rock (Remi)
  • Loving grandmother of Danielle Mayne (Kevin), Melissa Machuta, Ashley & Michael Rock
  • Marion also leaves behind many loving friends, extended family, and furry grandchildren that will all miss her warmness and upbeat personality.

Marion was born in Detroit and lived most of her life in Dearborn, with ten of those years at Henry Ford Village.  Her last years were in Westerville, Ohio under the loving care of Suzette and Max.

Marion and Max Sr. owned and operated Budget Insurance Agency in Dearborn until the early 70's.  She then worked for the Wayne County Commissioners until her retirement in 1985.

Marion loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed nothing more than being around them.  She was very active and loved the water.  She was a world traveler, avid skier and golfer.  In her later years, her favorite pastime was playing Scrabble with family and her Henry Ford Village friends.  She has taught many others the game and was the first to suggest a Scrabble game at all family gatherings.  She was winning at Scrabble right up until the end!
