Mary Jane (Lee) Cafasso, 90 years old, of Riverview, MI went home to be with the Lord April 7, 2014 at Oakwood Southshore Hospital in Trenton, MI. She was born to Champ Lee and Dosha Cheek Lee on December 6, 1923. Mary was raised by her Aunt Molly and Uncle Eliaha Money, that is how she came to be known as Mary Money. She has a sister, Elise Lee Miracle, and two brothers, Eddie Lee and Bluford Lee that proceeded her in death. She also has a brother, James Lee that she has left behind and lots of nieces and nephews she loved so much. At age 29 Mary came to Michigan and met the man of her dreams and on August 29, 1956 Mary money Lee was wed to Patrick Joseph Cafasso, who proceeded her in death. Mary often talked about how thankful she was that the Lord had saved her soul when she was just a young woman. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and loved going to church until her health failed her and she had to sell her car. She really loved to sing them good old gospel songs. Mary had a very beautiful voice and when she sang she could make them glory bells ring. She would get happy in the Lord and shout all over the place. Mary had the biggest heart of anyone. She didn't have much in the way of money but she said the Lord had blessed her so much with what she did have that she wanted to share with those less fortunate than her. She was always sending money to Feed the Hungry, DAV, Crippled Children, Easter Seals, St. Jude Children's Hospital and anyone else in need. She would do without to help others. Mary was a very loving and beautiful person and the world needs a lot more people like her in it. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Our loss is heaven's gain. She is singing with the angel band in heaven with that big smile on her face.
