COOK, Mary Evelyn "Babe". Age 95. August 10, 1918 - July 30, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Vasile, married for 47 wonderful years. Loving mother of Nancy (Don) Colbert, Mike (Darlene), and Susan (Earl) Olson. Proudly survived by twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A special heartfelt thank you to the caring staff at Rivergate Health Care Center, which Mary called home for the past four years. Mary was a founding member of St. Albert the Great Parish, long time member of Dearborn China Painters, former employee of Dearborn schools and Little Professor Book Center in Dearborn. We little knew that day, God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death, we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone. For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide. And although we cannot see you, You are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again.
