Departed from this life on November 20, 2021 at the age of 85
Predeceased by her parents, Frank and Mary Zdrojewski.
Lovingly married to Joseph for 65 years.
Devoted mother to 5 children: Michael (Maryanne), Regina (Stephen Storr), Gregory (Dan Turner), David (Maria), and Matthew (Kimberly).
Dearest grandmother to Lauren, Adam (Victoria), Garrett (Iina), Alexandra (Josh), Katelyn, Aubri, Jacob, Mary Grace, Rebecca, and one great grandchild, Veda Kathryn.
Dearest sister of Kathleen Martin (Kenneth), Ronald Zdrojewski (Jan), Frank Zdrojewski (Margaret), and the late Albert Zdrojewski (Emily) and Frances Nieckarz (Peter).
Mary Ann grew up in Detroit where she was an active member of Our Lady Queen of Angels parish from the time she was born. She attended Girls Catholic Central high school and found her first job working at Sanders where she mastered the skill of making the perfect hot fudge sundae.
She worked a number of jobs in retail and business throughout her career all while raising five children.
Her most recent job was with United technologies in Dearborn, where she worked for over 20 years.
She was very active in her parish where she sang in the choir for over 40 years and volunteered on many committees.
She spent much time at the Holy Cross Knights of Columbus, helping to organize events, cooking lunches for senior citizens and arranging bus excursions.
She enjoyed time with family, trivia, music, cooking, gardening, and storytelling. She loved animals, raising numerous pets in addition to feeding the neighborhood strays, squirrels and birds on a daily basis.
She will be missed by many, but mostly her family.
Visitation at the Taylor Chapel of Howe Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 Telegraph Rd., Taylor MI on Monday November 22nd from 3:00PM to 9:00PM, rosary service at 7pm.
Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church, 21892 Gudith Rd., Woodhaven, MI 48183, on Tuesday, November 23rd at 10:15am (Instate at 9:45AM) , followed by interment at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Dearborn Heights MI.
