Mary "June" Ennis, 99, died peacefully in her sleep August 26, 2023 at Allegria Village Assisted Living Center. June was born on May 19, 1924 in Windsor, Canada, the daughter of Percy and Murial (Bowman) New.

June graduated from HWC Kennedy High School in Winsor. Following graduation, she attended Windsor-Walkersville Vocational School Evening classes for Shorthand and Typing. After many years, June became the Executive Secretary to the General Manager of the JC Penney Detroit regional district.

On August 30th, 1947 June married Paul French Ennis in Windsor. June and Paul settled in Berkley, Michigan and were together for 54 years until Paul's death on January 15th, 2001. June and Paul were active members of the 1st United Methodist Church of Berkley and happy parents to; Robert William Ennis and Barbara Jean Ennis.

June is survived by son Robert, wife Laurie and daughters Erin and Marjorie of Langley, BC Canada. Marjorie and husband Brian Sundar presented June with a Great Grand Daughter, Everly on February 3, 2022. June's daughter, Barbara, married Thomas H. Harman on December 27, 1980 and presented June's 1st Grand daughter, Allison Janice Harman, on April 28, 1984.

June was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend to all.

A reception celebrating Mary June Ennis will be held on Friday, September 1st, 2023 at the Edison room of Allegria Village from 2 – 6pm.

The family requests any memorials to be donated to the Rotary International "Cure Polio Now" fund.
