Mary Jeanne Girard, died January 21, 2026, at 71 years of age. She is survived by her partner of 36 years, John Joseph DePoli. She was preceded in death by her mother, Agnes Girard, her Father Alvin Girard and her beloved sister Janet Girard.

Inspired by the strong, accomplished women and men in her family, Jeanne pursued a degree in Psychology, Sociology and English as an undergraduate and a Master's Degree in Public Administration. She was the Director of Continuing Education for the School of Engineering and Computer Science and had a rewarding and successful forty-four year career at the University of Michigan -Dearborn.

Jeanne was an artist, singer, musician, songwriter, avid reader and Dog Mom to five beloved pets, Jaqui, Tessa, Chloe, Summer, and Mia.

Jeanne will be remembered for her devotion to John and their lives together. She is loved and missed by all who knew her,
