Mary Ann Hoffmann
March 25, 1940 – July 18, 2025

Mary Ann Hoffmann, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, at the age of 85, surrounded by her sons. Born on March 25, 1940, in Dearborn, Michigan, Mary Ann spent her childhood there and later built a long and dedicated career at Ford Motor Company, where she worked for 33 years before retiring. Mary Ann was married to the late Donald Hoffmann, and together they raised three children: the late Elizabeth Dillon (husband Mark), Thomas Carr (wife Stacy), and Donald Hoffmann Jr. (wife Barbara). She was a proud grandmother to Alex Dillon and Ree Dillon; Tim Carr and Elizabeth Carr; and Helena Hoffmann. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Ellie Carr and Aubree Carr. Mary Ann will be remembered for her quiet strength, her devotion to family, and the love she showed to all those around her. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 13th, at the American Legion Hall (23850 Military Road, Dearborn Heights) from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, with a tribute ceremony at 2:00 pm. Please RSVP via text to Stacy Carr at 248-321-6458.
