Mary Elizabeth Illyes (nee Edmonds) passed away on June 17, 2025 at the age of 68. Beloved wife of Andrew for 20 years. Loving mother of James (Michelle) Edmonds, and Julia (Shawn) Elliott, stepmother of Ryan, and the late Ross and Garrett Illyes. Cherished grandmother of Xander and Lyle Stephenson, and Gabriella Elliott. Loving daughter of Elizabeth "Betty" Boswell and the late Jack Boswell Sr. Dearest sister of Diana (Tim) Alley, and Jack (Karen) Boswell Jr.

Mary was a woman of unwavering faith, deep compassion, and quiet strength. She passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and grace that touched all who knew her.

Mary was known for her nurturing spirit and her steadfast commitment to fairness — especially when it came to raising her children, to whom she gave her whole heart. She had a gift for bringing order to any situation with her incredible sense of organization, and a way of making everyone feel cared for and understood.

She loved to travel and found great joy in cruising the turquoise waters of the Caribbean and the Bahamas with her beloved husband. Those trips were filled with laughter, sunshine, and treasured memories. One of her favorite traditions was the family's annual trip to Pigeon Forge — a place that held a special spot in her heart and brought the whole family together year after year.

Mary lived a life filled with purpose and love, guided by her strong faith and devotion to her family. Her warmth, fairness, and thoughtfulness will be remembered and cherished always.
