Mary Jo Kaye, of Livonia, Michigan, passed away suddenly on December 8, 2021, at the age of 74.

Mary Jo is survived by her loving husband, Douglas, her brother Albert Wight, her cousin James Cleverly, and was the sister-in-law of Gary (Brenda), Michael, Richard (Diane), Mary (Michael), Elizabeth (Michael), Arthur (Kathy), Anthony, Kim, Kathy (Keith), and Arlene (Patrick).   Mary Jo is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mary Jo and Douglas were united in marriage on July 14 ^th , 1989, at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Berkley, Michigan.   Following their marriage, Mary Jo assisted Douglas at his law office and has worked closely with him there for the last 30 years.   When not assisting Douglas in court, or at the law office, Mary Jo's favorite pastime was crocheting baby blankets, afghan throws, gloves and other gifts for her family and friends.

Mary Jo and Douglas shared a love of spending time outdoors and incorporated this into their passion to travel.   Their favorite destination soon became Manitoulin Island, in Canada, where they spent many summers with family and friends on the island.

Mary Jo and Douglas often included their nieces and nephews, as their special guests, in their travels and many local adventures.

Mary Jo will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 12 ^th , at 6:00 pm, at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home – Dearborn Chapel located at 22546 Michigan Ave., Dearborn, Michigan.   Visitors will be received at the Funeral Home, prior to the service, between the hours of 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
