Dearest Grandmother of Briana Kramer and Ashlin Woodman.

Precious Sister of Larry (Julie) Roy, Rosanne Holmes and Donna Roy (Chris) Earle.

Dear Aunt of Kelly Holmes Covell, Christina Mancina, Jeri Roy, Ryan Holmes and Patrick Roy.

Beloved Daughter of the late Jerry and Anne.

Also, preceded in death by her brother-in-law Bill Holmes.

She leaves behind many friends as well.

We are very saddened to report the loss of our dear friend, Mary Ellen Kramer (nèe Roy), who passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 from injuries resulting from a car accident Monday, January 10, 2022.

Mary Ellen was the eldest of of 4 children of Jerome & Anne Roy, who raised their family in a cottage along the first fairway of the small course at Burroughs Farms.  She had a great sense of humor, which we know is a blessing when you love the game of golf, and she did, being a member of the Burroughs Ladies Golf League for a number of years, even after the Farms closed and the league moved around.  She enjoyed cards and Scrabble and mostly spending time with family and friends.  She was very gregarious, made friends easily, and cherished those friendships.

Mary Ellen graduated from Ladywood High School in 1967. Mary Ellen's career was a surgical nurse at several hospitals, including Providence, Harper, Botsford, Huron Valley and St. Mary's Livonia, before retiring.  She was an accomplished pen & ink artist, specifically barns and lighthouses, sharing her art at craft shows around the state for many years.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her.

Rest in Peace, ME, you will be missed!
