MERCATANTE, Mary A. (nee Krupa) August 28, 2013, age 53 After a lengthy illness fought with the strength, and sometimes stubbornness, only Mary could exhibit, she peacefully and quietly left us. There is a hole in our hearts that may never be filled. Mary was the beloved wife of Mark,the cherished daughter of the late Edwin and Peggy Krupa, the very best sister to Carol, Ed (Katharyn), Steve (Nicole) and Paul (Darlene Buchanan) Krupa, Jeanette (Ron) Esser, Teresa (Dustin) Docherty and Kathleen (Rowden) Dupuis. She was a loving sister-in-law to Debbie Krupa, Pat (Bob) Fielding and Doug (Joanne) Mercatante. Mary was the Best Aunt in the World to the nieces and nephews she adored: Kevin, Justin (Laura), Joel, Stephanie, Genevieve, Cameron, Conner, Maddie, Enzo, Mazzy, Michael (Kelly), Michael Jr., Darian, Brett, Claire, Steve (Denise), Sophia and Nicole. Mary was also a very special friend to Stella, Henri and Vivian. Visitation will be at the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave. Dearborn on Wednesday, September 4 from 3-9 pm and Thursday, September 5 from 1-9 pm. A Rosary will be said Thursday at 6:00 pm. She will lie instate on Friday, September 6 at 9:30 am with a Mass following at 10:00 am at the Sweetest Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 4440 Russell at Canfield, Detroit.
