Mary Alice Petoskey, dear daughter of the late Dr. Edward A. and Celia V. Petoskey, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.  She is survived by her loving sister Gloria A. Petoskey.

Mary was a kind-hearted, gentle soul who loved crocheting and crafts.  She had an adventurous spirit and as an older sister, would lead her younger sister, Gloria, into mischief.  Like the time she convinced Gloria that it would be a good idea for Mary to cut Gloria's plastic Barbie car doors so they would open even though there were no hinges.  There was also the time she taught Gloria how to reach the cookies on an upper kitchen shelf by climbing on a chair and then onto the kitchen counter.

Mary, with her warm-hearted nature, would want to remember her cousins, both living and deceased, Dorothy Truhon, Ellen Kanaby, Eugene Petoskey, Anita Wilhelm, Oscar Petoskey, Barbara Petoskey, Susan Prosser, Margaret Orleman, Christine Gibson and Mary Taylor.

Visitation will be held at the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Avenue, Dearborn, Michigan on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Rosary 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2023, followed by interment at St. Hedwig Cemetery, 23755 Military Road, Dearborn Heights, Michigan.
