Mary Wheeler, age 98, long time resident of Dearborn, MI, beloved wife of the late Eugene, mother of David (JoAnn) and Bryan (Claudia), 4 grandchildren, Kathleen,  Lynn, Nicholas and Natalie and two great granddaughters Sylvia and Maggie as well as many nieces and nephews passed away on March 5, 2026.  Mary is preceded in death by her parents Mary and Nicholas, sisters Veronica, Dorothy and Julie.  She is survived by her brother Nicholas.

Mary was married to the love of her life Eugene for close to 65 years and together they spent many years traveling throughout the country visiting family and friends.  Mary was a real dynamo and became your friend as soon as she met you.  Mary was a devout Orthodox Christian and her faith guided her life.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 8 from 3:00-8:00pm with a Panikhida service at 7:00 PM at the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home 22546 Michigan Ave, Dearborn.  A burial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 9 at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Detroit.
