Maurice Carl Payne, long-time resident of Down River area passed on September 4, 2015. Born June 24, 1943, retired from McLouth Steel, and currently was a member of Beacon Baptist Church in Taylor. He is survived by one brother, James, and many good friends. Visitation will be held at the Taylor Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, located at 9800 S. Telegraph Rd., on Friday, the 11th of September, from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. The service will be held on Saturday, the 12th of September, at 10 A.M. at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home.
