Melvin G. Sanderson passed away on July 28, 2022 at the age of 98. Beloved partner of Mary Lou Ferencz for 34 years. Loving father of Dianne Petrul, and Kim (Rich) Attee. Cherished grandfather of Harrison Attee. Melvin is predeceased by his wife, Katherine; his siblings, Archie H. Sanderson and Julia Mary Sanderson; and by his parents, Archie M. Sanderson and Julia Sanderson.

Melvin was an Army WWII Veteran. He retired from Ford Motor Company after working there for many years. He was also a past member of the Ford Yacht Club. Mel was an avid boater of the Great Lakes, Florida, and The Bahamas. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 2:00-5:00pm at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home Taylor Chapel 9800 Telegraph Road Taylor, MI 48180. Melvin will be interred at White Chapel Cemetery located in Troy, MI.
