Michael Angelo Leonetti passed away peacefully and surrounded by his loving family on May 4, 2024. He was 93 years old. He is finally reunited with his beloved wife of 42 years, Dolores, who left him too soon in 2000.

Michael was a lifelong resident of Dearborn where he graduated from Fordson High School, raised his beautiful family, and worked for the city for over 40 years in the sanitation and parks and recreation departments. He was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Kateri Church in Dearborn.

Mike was a friend to everyone he met; his goal was to have a positive impact on the people he met and he succeeded. He loved to hunt and fish and has taken many excursions out west to do so, most notably in Wyoming around Yellowstone National Park. His number one priority above all was always his family.

Mike is survived by his children, Michael (Joann) Leonetti, Vincent (Lorie) Leonetti, and Mary (Gregory) Leonetti - Dean, his grandchildren, Hailee Leonetti, Nicole (Beau) Arledge, Dominique (Cullen) Ritchie, Jesse (Jeanette) Leonetti, Daniel Leonetti, Hannah Dean, Larissa Dean, and Jaysa Dean. Mike is also a proud great-grandfather of 8. He is the dear brother of the late John (Arlene), the late Ron (Sally), Rose (the late Rick) Cerroni, and Mary.

Visitation at the Dearborn Location of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Thursday, May 9, 4-8pm. Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St Kateri on Friday, May 10, at 11am. Gathering at the church begins at 10am. Interment to follow Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

A reception will be held after the cemetery at Antonio's Restaurant in Dearborn Heights.
