Michael Patrick Loomis (Crusher) aged 55, passed away at his home in Honolulu, Hawaii May 20, 2015, with his much adored kitty, Ku at his side. He was born in and lived most of his life Downriver Michigan. Mike worked at the Cancer Research Center of Hawaii located at the University of Hawaii as a Bioinformatics Systems Analyst. Mike was preceded in death by just one month of his beloved mother Carol Ann Loomis, he is also preceded by his nephews Andrew and Zachary Frye and his grandson Dresden Ryan. Mike is survived by his father, Frank Loomis, his daughter, Shannon (Shaun) Ryan, grandchildren, Gwen, Delaney and Wade Ryan, his brother, Frank Loomis Jr (Jackie Black), and sisters, Theresa (Larry) Frye, Kathleen (James) Frye, and Lin Loomis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Mistie (Ryan) Wyngard, Samantha (Arjen) Lonsdale, Travis (Krystle) Frye, Hailey and Kyle Loomis. Memorial Gathering Tuesday, June 23, 2015, 4:00pm-9:00pm with a Memorial Service at 7:00pm at the Taylor Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 S. Telegraph Road. If you will be there for the service portion, please consider sharing a story or special moment you shared with Mike. Burial of his cremation ashes will take place on Wednesday June 24th at 11am at the Michigan Memorial park 32163 W. Huron River Dr, Flat Rock, MI 48134, we will meet at the office and travel to the burial site together. Feel free to wear Hawaiian shirts! Luncheon will follow the burial service at Pia's Ristorante Italiano 21142 Ecorse Rd, Taylor, MI 48180. (around 12:30pm) An informal gathering for drinks and swimming will follow the luncheon at Kaye and Jim Frye's.
