Mike "Uncle Mikey" Kovalchick passed away on December 7, 2020 at the age of 93. Survived by his special niece, Carol Ann (Gross) Boratko and her husband Paul J. Boratko Jr., nephews Gary Gross and Robert Gross, great nephews Paul J Boratko III (Amanda), Joseph Michael Boratko (Lacy), and Michael Joseph Boratko, all of Johnstown, PA.

He is also survived by his best friend of 48 years, Sam Abdallah, of Dearborn, MI. They met while Sam served as Mike's paper boy.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Catherine (Grofic) Kovalchick, siblings John Kovalchick, Mary Rizzo, and Ann Gross, and brother-in-law Joseph Gross.

Mike worked for the City of Dearborn for 30 years. He lived for his garden and was known for sharing the delicious vegetables that he would grow.

Mike will be returning to his hometown of Johnstown, PA where he will be interred at Grandview Cemetery with his family who have gone before him. No services will be held in Michigan.
