Mildred Lux passed away Jan. 23, 2010 at age 86. Having spent most of her life in Michigan, she recently moved to Morgantown, West Virginia to be close to family. She was kindly cared for by the staff of Evergreen Assisted Living. Mildred was an organized and diligent secretary who also helped her husband with his law practice. After her retirement, she volunteered at Oakwood Hospital in Michigan. She inspired all who knew her with her joyful attitude and loving care of others. She will be missed by all who knew her. Her husband, Edward Lux, and her daughter, Janet Gurzick, preceded Mrs. Lux in death. She is survived by a sister, Josephine Tinnelly of Farmington, Michigan, a son-in-law, John Gurzick of Masontown, WV, her grandson, Dr. David Gurzick of Urbana, MD, a granddaughter, Kathy Doyle of Reedsville, WV, and two great-grandchildren, Anna and Audrey Doyle of Reedsville, WV. Mildred will be interred at Parkview Memorial in Livonia, Michigan. Services will be held at Howe-Peterson in Dearborn, Michigan on Tues., Jan. 26th from 5-9pm and Weds., Jan. 27th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross or Alzheimer's Research.
