Movoureene "Boogie" Wilson of Dearborn, Michigan passed away, surrounded by her loving family, in Ann Arbor, Michigan on December 24, 2021 of heart failure. She was 93.

Boogie was born in Harlan County, Kentucky, the daughter of Everett and Nell Green and the sister of Eloise, Billy, Teddy, John, Joan, Elizabeth, and Margetta. She married Herbert on December 26, 1945 and moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1950. They raised their four daughters surrounded by loving neighbors in Inkster before settling in Dearborn. After raising her daughters, Boogie devoted many years of her life helping people with mental disabilities while working in a group home.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 76 years, Herbert Wilson, of Dearborn; her four daughters and their spouses, Brenda McCarty, Kathy and Jim McMillan, Karen and Raymond Zakaria, and Wendy Ludwick; her grandchildren Mary-Ann Hurlbert, Kathy Ciccone, Brett McMillan, Courtney McCarty, Jonathan Ludwick, and Christopher McMillan; and her great-grandchildren Zak Hurlbert, Finn McMillan, Theo Hurlbert, Mina Ciccone, Sloane McMillan, Adelaide and Georgia Hurlbert, and Milo Ciccone. She will be sorely missed by each member of her family.

Memorial gathering will begin at 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29 at the Howe- Peterson Funeral Home in Dearborn, Michigan, followed by a memorial service from 12:30-1:00. Burial will take place at a later date with only her family in attendance.
