Nancy Earl Helwig , age 84, a long time Dearborn resident, died December 13, 2014, in Taylor, MI Nancy is survived by her daughters, Kim Bowers, of Ferndale, MI, Lauren Helwig of Ann Arbor, MI and Susan Helwig of Dearborn, MI; and her grandchildren, Nicholas (Nick) Bowers, Tommaso Helwig and Madeleine (Maddie) Helwig. She is preceded in death by her husband, Karl M. Helwig, of Dearborn, MI in 1959. Nancy was born on August 15, 1930 in Plainfield, NJ, to parents Donald and Dorothy Earl. She attended college at Bowling Green University in Ohio until her marriage in 1954. She also attended art school at College for Creative Studies to fulfill her creativity. She enjoyed gardening, lively discussions, watching Cosmos, being creative (drawing, painting, stained glass, ceramics, jewelry/metal work, sewing and the best darned gift wrapping on the planet!). Her family and friends will always remember her as a funny, silly,compassionate and loving person. Please join us as we celebrate her life.
