Nola passed away peacefully July 12 ^th just 5, days shy of her 86 ^th year of celebrating life. Her mind was ready to celebrate, but her body was unable to accept the challenge.  She will now be celebrating that day with her parents, daughter and many more.  She leaves behind her devoted husband Henry of 66 years.

She was the proud mother of four; Ron (Vivian), Brenda (deceased), Ken (Georgette) and Mary (John) Bolla.  The beloved grandmother of Katy, Stacy, Matthew, Nicole, John IV., Joseph, Megan and great-grandmother to Maelynn, Ethan, Joseph Jr., Jameson, Alaric, Olivia, Kenny, and Nicholas.

Nola was born in Missouri, proud daughter of Ivory Mac and Flora Mae ( nee Harris).  She was one of seven farmhands with siblings; Virginia (Edward-deceased) Bowles, Mary (Voundis) Stephens, James (Linda) Harris, Bill (Francis) Harris, Glen (Judy) Harris and Willie (Kay) Harris.

She didn't have a formal education; however, she could have easily held an honorary doctorate in Fried Chicken, homemade gravy and mashed potatoes.  This was a birthday dinner wish which everyone in her family wanted, and she regularly fulfilled. Nola also had an honorary Bachelors in Fried Catfish.

Visitation will take place on Saturday July 16 ^th from 12 – 3pm with a Funeral Service from 3 – 4pm at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home 9800 Telegraph Road Taylor, Mi 48180.
