Norma Esther Rechlin, beloved daughter of Elmer & Esther Rechlin died on December 2, 2017 at St. Mary Mercy Hospital, Livonia, MI. She was born November 4, 1925 in Dearborn Township, MI. Norma was baptized on November 11, 1925 and confirmed in May 1940 at Emmanual Lutheran Church in Dearborn. Her Confirmation Verse was "Commit Thy Way Unto the Lord ad He Shall Bring It To Pass."

After graduating from Fordson High School in 1943, she began her work career which included Bendix Aviation, Gar Wood Industries, Economy Bailer, and Wayne County where she retired in May 31, 1988 from the Sheriff's Payroll Department.

Norma belonged to the Walther Leauge at Emmanuel, was Past President of Lutheran Ladies Auxiliary, Chapter 41, National Secretaries Association where she was Secretary of the Year in 1968 of the Town & County Chapter in Livonia.

Her interests include bowling, golfing, genealogy, photography, traveling, sewing and cooking.

Norma is survived by her brother Donald(Janet) Rechlin, sister-in-law , Dorothy Rechlin and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces. She was predeceased by her parents Elmer & Esther, her sister Betty and brother-in-law Quinten Ray and brother Elmer Rechlin, Jr. Visitation will be held at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, Dearborn Chapel, on Mon, 2pm-8pm. Funeral Services will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church on Tues, at 11am with 10am viewing. Interment will be at Glen Eden Memorial Cemetery in Livonia, MI.
