Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norman Schonfeld. A beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, Norman was a man whose passions for life were as vast and diverse as the hobbies he cherished.

Norman had a deep love for the outdoors. He spent countless hours bow hunting and fishing, with a particular fondness for ice fishing in the winter months. His quiet moments on the water and in the woods were a reflection of the peaceful nature he so often embraced. His love for nature was matched only by his dedication to his family, always finding a way to balance his time between the two.

As much as Norman loved the wilderness, he also took great pride in making his home a warm and welcoming place. The holiday season was particularly special to him, and he was known for his incredible talent at decorating the house, bringing joy and cheer to everyone who walked through the door. His decorations, meticulously arranged, were a testament to the care and love he put into every detail of his life.

Norman was also an avid collector of toy trains, a hobby that brought him both joy and a sense of nostalgia. His collection, displayed with pride, was a labor of love that he shared with friends and family.

In addition to his love for nature and collecting, Norman had a passion for woodworking. His hands skillfully crafted beautiful pieces. His woodworking was more than just a hobby; it was a way for him to express his creativity and dedication to craftsmanship.

One of Norman's most cherished pastimes was assembling model Chevy cars. Whether meticulously putting together each part or admiring the finished product, it was clear that his love for precision and attention to detail extended into every area of his life. He found peace in the quiet focus of these projects, and it was a joy to watch him bring them to life.

Norman is survived by his loving wife Linda of 46 years. Dear father of Steven. Caring brother of Lynn (George), Tim (Brenda), Matt (Cindy), Jeff (Patty), and David.  Norman is preceded in death by his brothers Raymond, Michael, Douglas, and Richard.

He will be remembered for his kindness, his patience, and his unwavering love for his family and the simple pleasures of life. While his passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew him, his memory will continue to live on in the stories shared, the trains on the tracks, the wood in the workshop, and the cars on the shelf.
