Ophelia
Ringle
December 23, 1940 – August 5, 2022
Ophelia was born to the late Santiago and Guadelupe Sanchez from Eagle Pass, Texas and migrated to Michigan in 1940. She was a seamstress, business woman and mother who lived in Detroit until her death on August 5th, 2022 at the age of 81. Ophelia was blessed with two sons that she raised with patience, discipline and humility. She taught them kindness, respect and to work hard to be a good provider for their families.
Ophelia loved to dance, she was generous and a caring person. She was an avid gardener who loved nature and rescuing animals. Ophelia will be dearly missed by all who knew her and those that loved her. Ophelia is survived by her son Andrew Asaro IV (Kristina). her five grandchildren; Gerald Asaro, Andrew Asaro V, Michael Asaro, Vincent Asaro and Ariel Asaro-Dropps. Great grandmother of Andrew VI, Nikolas Dropps, Rylee Dropps and Kason Dropps. Great great grandmother of Ariana Asaro. Sister of Amelia Rodriguez. Niece of Pedro Romero. She is proceeded in death by her son Gerald Glen Asaro, her brother Jimmy Elizando, Manuel Sanchez and her parents Guadelupe, Santiago, and Tony Equibel.
Funeral mass will be Saturday 10:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1721 Junction Ave, Detroit, MI 48209. Gathering Saturday from 9:30 a.m. Visitation Friday 1-9 p.m. at the Dearborn Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home. Interment Grand Lawn Cemetery. Please leave a condolence to comfort the family.
