Obituary

Patricia "Pat" Ann Begley was born July 9, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the loving wife of the late Lonnie Begley for 48 years. Pat passed away June 23, 2020 at the age of 67, surrounded by her family. Pat was predeceased by her husband, Lonnie Begley and her father, Oscar Ray Flanary. She leaves surviving her mother, Betty Jo Flanary of Weber City, Virginia. Also surviving is one son, Steven Begley (Rachel) of Novi, Michigan, and her two daughters, Subrina Gregory (Anthony McCarty) of Newport, Michigan, and Mary Griffith (David) of Southgate, Michigan. Four brothers, Larry Flanary (Phyllis) of Kingsport, Tennessee, Rick Flanary (Bobbie) of Fowlerville, Michigan, Roger Flanary (Mary) of Southgate, Michigan, and David Flanary (Beate) of Gate City, Virgina, two sisters, Brenda Trammell (Truman) of Owosso, Michigan, and Debbie Jose (Wayne) of Twining, Michigan. Also surviving are grandchildren Steven Jr., Chelsey, Billie, James, Sueraya, David Jr., and Landon, and great-grandchildren Alexander, Kyla, Cody, and Violet. Pat is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Pat enjoyed going on trips with her sisters, doing crossword puzzles, singing and dancing, spending time with grand and great-grandbabies, cooking, and sewing. She loved the Christmas Holiday, helping others, and watching Lifetime TV.   Pat worked in the medical field for years, fulfilling her love of helping others.

Pat had a heart of gold. There was never a time that you walked into her home when she didn't have a fresh plate of food ready for you. She was always prepared to handle the calmest and rowdiest of groups and always made sure that everyone felt like family when they entered her home.

For 48 years, Pat was a devoted and loving wife to our beloved brother, Lonnie Begley. We will miss our daughter, our mother, our grandmother, our great-grandmother, our aunt, our sister, and true friend to all of us. Rest in Heaven, Sister Pat, see you at the house.
