Patricia Mackey
Fera
May 10, 1942 – July 28, 2019
Patricia "Pat" Mackey Fera passed away on July 28, 2019 after a brief illness surrounded by loved ones. A resident of Dearborn since 1942, she was 77. She was loved, admired by family, friends, neighbors and colleagues.
Born in Dearborn, to Leslie and Hazel Sharp, Pat attended Sacred Heart elementary and high school.
In 1969, she married the love of her life, Anthony "Tony" Fera and remained deeply in love for 45 fabulous fun-filled years. While raising 3 loving children, Pat went back to school at Detroit College of Business where she did the impossible and graduated Magna Cum laude with a 4.0
Upon graduation she co-owned the Silver Bear Gift Shop and was a successful real estate agent at Jim Christie Real Estate (Dearborn).
All who crossed her life's long and active path will remember her exceptional humor, larger than life personality, strength and kind words. She will also be remembered for her love of her favorite destination Port Austin, Michigan, a fondness of everything Bob Seger and a zest for what life had to offer (from traveling Route 66 to attending a Jackson Prison talent show)
Sister of Nancy (the late Jim) Lee, Thom (Judy) Sharp, Pat is preceded in passing by her parents, her loving husband, Tony, her sister Marge (the late Conrad) Toporek, brother William (Carol) Sharp and many cherished pets (Stella). Loving mother of Matthew (Chiara), Michael (Evann), Mary Guerra (Stephen). Proud grandmother of Gavin, Francesca, Anthony, Zoe, Elena, Everest, Myla, and Frankie. Devoted aunt to many nephews and nieces that she loved dearly. She will be missed by her grand-dogs Olive, Sebastian and Josie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat's honor to one of these organizations that were dear to both her and Tony:
Not being a fan of funerals or sad occasions, a joyous celebration of her life will be held in the fall. Details updated here at a later date.
