Patricia Anne
Golem
January 7, 1951 – February 12, 2026
Patricia Anne Golem, 75, passed away peacefully on February 12th, 2026 with her family by her side. Patricia, forever known as Patty, leaves behind three children, Ryan (Rebecca) Golem, Scott (Rachel) Golem, and Amy (Zack) Roskop; Four grandchildren: Griffin, Beckett, Isley, and June; Loving sister to Barbara (Lauri) Fischley, Donna (Robert) Comerer, Grace (Lee) Ford, Robert (Sheryn) Fischley and Margaret MacFarlane; Loving sister-in-law to Jim (Gail) Golem and Susan (Doug) Harrington; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 wonderful years, Mitchell Golem, in October of 2019.
Patty was born in Detroit, MI on January 7th, 1951. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School and Michigan State University. Patricia was a devoted educator for many years prior to her retirement, beginning her career in Special Education. After taking time to raise her own children, she returned to the classroom, continuing her lifelong commitment to helping others learn.
She found joy in completing her morning puzzles, a solid Hallmark movie, a McDonald's breakfast burrito, and daily phone calls with her sisters and brother. A passionate Michigan State Spartan fan-especially basketball-she rarely missed a game.
Above all, she adored her grandchildren. From spoiling her newest grandchild with books and stickers, to hours spent at dance recitals, football, basketball, baseball and volleyball games, Patty was a constant presence on the sidelines. Nearly every weekend since her own children began playing sports, she would be there with bags of snacks and goodies, cheering them on.
Patricia's visitation will take place at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home 22546 Michigan Ave Dearborn on Thursday, February 19th from 1:00 – 8:00pm. A funeral mass will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, February 20th at 11:00am with family greeting friends beginning at 10:30am.
Memorial contributions in Patricia's honor may be made to the Karmanos Cancer Institute, Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, or the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
Patricia is happy to be reunited with her beloved Mitch again.
