Paul Andrew Berg, age 48, of Lincoln Park died suddenly March 16, 2017. Preceded in death by his parents Marilyn and Robert, Survived by his loving sister Jennifer (Kenneth) Funk, and his nieces Johanna & Jana. The backgammon world lost a great person this week. Paul directed the Metro North BG Club near Detroit, and he was Assistant Director of the Flint Club. He was an excellent staffer at ABT tournaments in Michigan and Ohio, and a valued member of the USBGF Rating Team. Paul was also a strong player, being Flint Club Champion and Player of the Year several times, as well as our Fleet Underwood Champion. He won two ABT titles in Ohio in 2000 and 2001.
Most of all, Paul was a dear friend, kind, witty, smart, and highly knowledgeable about sports, computers, politics -- and drawsheets. He will be greatly missed.
