McCloud, Paul Raymond of West Liberty, KY, formerly of Dearborn, MI, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014, peacefully at his residence following an extended illness, at the age of 85 years, 2 months and 1 day. He was born on Sunday, August 11, 1929 at Fountain Head, TN, son of the late Andrew Daniel and Margaret (James) McCloud. Paul was united in marriage to Betty Oriene Peyton on February 28, 1949. This union was blessed with four children, Paula, Lucinda, Laurie and Lisa. Secondly he was united in marriage to Ann Marie Perkins on August 26, 1986, and welcomed to his family three step-children, James Michael, David Lawrence and Leigh Ann. Paul was employed by Cadillac, GM in Detroit, MI for 37 years. He enjoyed riflery, gardening, and was able to realize a life's dream of building a log cabin. He was a master woodworker at building and turnings. Most of all, he enjoyed sharing with others, his Lord and Love of Jesus. He was an active member of Zion Missionary Church in Taylor, MI for 30 years, attended Index Community Church in West Liberty, a member of the Masonic Lodge #551 since 1955, and joined the Brotherhood of Masons also in 1955. He served his country as a Marine during the Korea War from 1952-1954. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty McCloud; two sisters, Lula Haliburton and Mary Nicks; and four brothers, Charles Thomas, John Daniel, Lewis Monroe and Marion Edward. He is survived by his second wife, Marie McCloud; his four children, Paula Nowicki (Glenn), Lucinda Gonzales (Jesse) all of MI, Laurie Watts (Ernie) of SC, and Lisa McCloud of MI; three step-children, Michael Lykins of MI, David Lykins (Karen) of TN, and Leigh Ann Metcalf (Kenneth) of MI; 8 grandchildren, Paul, Cliff, David, Jamie, Alex, Leisha, Heather, and Olivia; 6 great grandchildren, Chase, Chad, Chance, Carter, Liam, and Lila-Kate; and a host of nieces and nephews. He will be very much missed by all.
