Pauline Elizabeth
Paul
February 10, 1923 – June 2, 2021
Pauline Elizabeth Paul, 98, formerly of Dearborn Heights, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, June 2, 2021, passing away at her daughter's home in Shepherd, MI. She was born February 10, 1923 in Box Elder, Montana as the daughter of the late Peter and Grace (Nevins) Parson. Pauline married Captain Elmer Paul (US Army) on April 27, 1946 in Ypsilanti. She was preceded in death by her husband and by her sister and brother-in-law Freeda and James Newell.
Pauline was a longstanding faithful member of Stephens United Methodist Church. Over the years, she participated in the church choir, taught Sunday School, directed the church youth group, and led a women's Bible study. Her strong faith was an inspiration and a positive influence on many lives. Pauline was deeply loved by everyone who knew her, and she was always helping others. Many people thought of her as a second mom or grandma. Pauline and Elmer loved children and demonstrated that love by acting as foster parents to several children. Family was important to Pauline and her heart was full when everyone was together, sharing a meal and stories around the room. Pauline's hobbies included sewing and gardening. She loved growing raspberries, vegetables and flowers in her gardens. She shared the bounty of her harvest with all and many considered themselves blessed to have her pies and zucchini bread.
Pauline is survived by her son Douglas (Linda) Paul of NH, daughter Linda (Daryl) Amrozowicz of Shepherd, MI, and son Donald (Kristi) Paul of Holland, MI.; grandchildren Michael, Katie, Jerome, David (Kristin), Elizabeth and Daniel; brother-in-law Harry (Jerri) Paul and niece Beverly (David) Storms.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 9 at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 1570 Monroe St, Dearborn with Rev. Stephen Perrine and Chaplain Daryl Amrozowicz officiating. Burial will take place in Cadillac Memorial Gardens West, Westland.
