Schmidt, Pearl L. (nee Foss) Age 97. August 12, 2013. Mrs. Schmidt was born in Macomb Township, MI, on February 4, 1916 to the Late Ferdinand and Gertrude Foss. In 1939 she was united in marriage to Arthur L. Schmidt, and the couple made their home in Dearborn, MI. Mr. Schmidt passed away in 1961. An accomplished seamstress, Mrs. Schmidt also enjoyed bowling, square dancing, oil painting and the company of good friends and family. She was a founding member of Divine Child Catholic Church in Dearborn. She is survived by daughter Nancy (Richard O.), grandchildren Richard A. Nettlow and Dawn Nettlow Polay, great-grandchildren Madison and Maxwell Polay, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Arthur, son Charles, brothers John and Stanley, and sisters Viola Kitley and Irene Schuck. Funeral Mass Saturday 9:30 am at Divine Child Catholic Church, 1055 N. Silvery Lane, Dearborn. (Instate at 9 am).
