Peggy Lynn
Percy
July 27, 1964 – April 21, 2023
Peggy Lynn Percy, age 58, of Sandusky, MI passed away after a year long battle with gastrointestinal cancer.
Peggy was born on July 27, 1964 (along with her twin brother, Greg) to Cecil and Dorothy Thorley. She was a proud Redskins fan and graduated from Sandusky High School in 1982.
She married Scott Percy on June 1, 1991. He sadly preceded her in death in 2009.
Peggy loved animals of all kinds, especially her Dachshunds, Chloe, Sammy, Tasha, and Sadie. She worked as a bartender, most recently at the American Legion in Marysville. She was a social butterfly who had a positive effect on all whom she met. She was filled with love that she shared with people, familiar and new, often taking in and helping those in need. She was selfless to a fault. Her family described her as a Chihuahua; small, cute, and loyal until someone got on her bad side. Then she packed a powerful bite. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
Peggy is the beloved mother of Carly (Jeff Binder) Percy of Belleville, MI and Brandon (Jenette) Percy of Arizona. Dear fiancée of Dan Quinn. Loving daughter of Dorothy (the late Cecil) Thorley. Dearest sister of Wendy (Dan) Overstreet, LuAnn (Dan) Linington, Mark (Nancy) Thorley, and Greg Thorley. Proud Grandma of Nicholas Percy and Bubba, Callie, Luna, and Puff. Peggy also leaves behind her nieces and nephews: Lisa (Dale) Scribner, Matt (Kayla Casteel) Overstreet, Tiffany (Aaron Anderson) Green, Whitney (Paul McIntyre) Linington, Chad (Kadie Worrell) Thorley, and Kristin (Shane) Willis, and her great-nieces and nephews, Amber (Jacob Bitterman) Scribner, Brady, Zackary, and Delaney Scribner, Madelynn and Braelynn Thorley, and Tyler and Sylvia Willis.
A celebration of life will be held at Liberty Lanes in Sandusky on May 13, 2023 from 12pm-4pm.
