SISOY, PETER

Peter Sisoy passed away among his loving family in his home of eighty-eight years on Sunday, February 19th, he was 94 years young. He was a lifelong resident of the city of Detroit, born in Hamtramck in 1922 and moving to Detroit's West side in 28'. A World War II Marine and Purple Heart recipient, who saw action in the South Pacific. A true outdoorsman, and storyteller. His love of the Michigan seasons and his glorious adventures was only outshined by his joy in sharing those adventures with others.

He is preceded in death by his sister Claire, and parents Michael and Seraphina, and is survived by his wife of 70 years Lorene, children Lisa (Mike), Leslie, Greg (Cheryl), grandchildren Bailey, Anthony (Amanda), Kendal, Andrew, and Carly, great-granddaughter Ava, and many adored nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, February 23rd from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave. A memorial service will take place on Friday, February 24th at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
