Obituary

Peter P. Zajac passed on July 27, 2024, at the Veteran's Hospital in Ann Arbor. He had just celebrated his 82nd birthday.

Pete was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Canada where he graduated high school before coming to Michigan and becoming a US citizen. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and then attended ITT for Electronics. He worked at Guardian Photo Company for over 20 years where he worked as an electronics QC Technician. While there, he invented and patented a revolutionary device used to precisely cut the film and pictures. Pete also designed and built his own home.

Following his retirement, he opened a store called Computer Palace, where he carried/repaired the latest systems. He was known for his filming skills; he could often be called upon to film sporting events, city council meetings, family events, and weddings.

Pete was also active in the local politics, city council, and even ran for mayor of Dearborn Heights.

In his true retirement, Pete focused on family, especially being Super Grandpa to his grandson, Brennan.

Peter was a true Christian who loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Peter is survived by his wife of 56 1/2 years, Linda Christine, his son, David, his grandson, Brennan, and sister Mary Daniel.  Also, many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
