Wood, Polly  Age 81. February 7, 2016. Fell asleep in thhe arms of our Lord, peacefully, after a long battle with kidney disease. Her husband of 62 years, Charles (Skip) was by her side, as always. Dearest mother of Greg (Patti), Pam (Ken) and Kim (Will). Grandmother to ten lucky grandchildren, with a great grandbaby on the way. Sister to Ray (Frances). Polly was born and raised in Pinehurst, NC and never lost her love for the south or her accent. Polly will truly be missed by her family and the many lives she touched over the years. Visitation on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 3-7 pm at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave. A short service in celebration of her life will follow at 7 pm Wednesday. Memorial donations may be made to the Henry Ford Village Foundation.
