Coleman, Ray V. Entered into rest on February 17, 2021.  Age 77.  Loving husband of Lynne for 49 years.  Beloved father of Ray Jr. (Stephanie) and Rob (Kelly).  Dearest grandfather of Matthew, Jason, Sarah, Joseph and Sammie.  Dear brother of Dr. Homer Coleman and Fay Coleman. Uncle of Susan (Scott) Loudon and Jonathan (Sarah) Coleman.

Ray was a 1962 graduate of Melvindale High School and was a resident of Melvindale for 72 years. Ray's dream since he was a boy was to be a farmer which he fulfilled after leaving his role as a manager for Korvette's Department Store.  He had a passion for gardening, even before and after his farming years, and was always proud of his harvest of tomatoes.  While tending to his farm crops, he found time to build his own house completing the foundation, framing, electrical, plumbing, and drywall either alone or with a little help from his family.  He also enjoyed baseball, Elvis music, travelling, watching U of M Football, and spending quality time with family.

Funeral service will be Monday 10:00 a.m. at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave.  Visitation will be Sunday 2-8 p.m.

Interment Glenwood Cemetery, Wayne, Mi.
