BERNARDI, Jr., Raymond C. age 89, October 3, 2010 went home to join his wife Mary E. Bernardi who passed in 2006. A World War II veteran, Raymond's most important role was that of family man. He worked for Detroit Public Schools and finally retired at the age of 85. He was a member of the Carpenters Union. He was a gentle man with excellent comedic timing. Raymond leaves behind a daughter, Mary Bernardi, and two sisters Margie Wolf and Mary Hassel and a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. The celebration of Raymond's life will be held at the Dearborn Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave. on Friday, October 15th from 3-8 pm with a Memorial Service at 7 pm, followed by Military Honors. On Saturday, October 16th at 11:00 am Raymond and his wife Mary will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. www.howepeterson.com
