Raymond
Mazei
October 20, 1938 – February 7, 2025
Raymond Francis Mazei passed away on February 7, 2025 at the age of 86. Loving father of Raymond Jr. (Sheri), Harry (Suemi), Cynthia (Keith), and Jason. Caring grandfather of Jeremy, Jennifer, Karl, Jason, Samuel, Joel, Brent, Crystal, Madison, Leah, and Victoria. Beloved great grandfather of Sydney, Des, Lillian, Elaina, Ethan, and Everly. Dear brother of Pat Hudock. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Raymond was deeply loved and will be missed greatly.
It is with great love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raymond F. Mazei, a man whose sharp mind, quick wit, and colorful vocabulary left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He passed away surrounded by the family who adored him, leaving behind a legacy of intelligence, humor, and unfiltered honesty.
Raymond was a man who never hesitated to express his thoughts—out loud—and we all grew to appreciate his sarcasm, whether we were ready for it or not. His intellect was unmatched, his curiosity endless, and his ability to turn any conversation into an opportunity for a vocabulary lesson (sailor-style) was truly remarkable.
As his children, we are profoundly grateful to have had a father who challenged us to think, to question, and most importantly, to laugh. His love may not have always been spoken in traditional ways, but it was felt in every lesson he taught, every debate he engaged in, and every perfectly timed quip that left us shaking our heads with a smile.
Raymond leaves behind his four children, who will forever cherish the memories of a father who was unapologetically himself. He also leaves behind family members and friends who knew that beneath the sarcasm was a heart full of love, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to those he cared for.
While we will miss his presence, his humor, and his unique way of seeing the world, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit—and perhaps a well-timed sarcastic remark—will always be with us.
Rest easy, Dad. We'll take it from here—though none of us could ever say it quite like you did.
With love and gratitude
