Richard C. Book, 56, a resident of Ahmeek passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday January 11, 2010. He was born on October 24, 1953 in Detroit a son of the late George and Veda (Lahti) Book. He graduated from Lincoln Park High School with the class of 1972. After school Richard enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served until his retirement in 1993. After his retirement Richard moved to Ahmeek. He was a busy handyman, whether it was running his sawmill, welding, or whatever needed to be done he could do it. He especially loved his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Mike.
