In loving memory of Richard Frederick Tank, Sr., born April 16, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to Edwin Albert Tank and Emily Sara Tank (Zeigler) and Elizabeth Ann Tank (Dehring), born July 17, 1941 in Alpena, Michigan to Michael Arthur Dehring and Jessie Bell Dehring (Wiseman). Richard and Elizabeth were married on August 2, 1963 and both passed-away on October 27, 2020.

A memorial service will be held on October 31, 2020 at Howe Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 Telegraph Road, Taylor, MI 48101 with visitation from 3:00p.m.-7:00 p.m. and Service will be held by Pastor Scott Sommerfeld starting at 7:00p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia Foundation or Hospice in honor of Richard F. Tank Sr. or The Alzheimer's Foundation in honor of Elizabeth A. Tank.

Richard and Elizabeth are survived by six children, Richard Tank, Jr. (Suzanne), Karen Scarantino (Jeff), Darleen Cox (Rick), Gary Tank, Melinda Raymond (Trevor) and Tracy; 14 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Richard, Jake, Anthony, James, Lacie, Jordan, Brendan, Shelby, Ian, Aiden, Raelyn, A.J., Ava, Brooklyn and Jacob.   Richard is the oldest of thirteen, Nancy, Norman, Butch, Warren, Robert, Mary, Beverly, George, Harold, John, Frank, Mike. Elizabeth is the second youngest of four, Jerry, Robert, Thomas, Patricia.

Richard was a twenty-nine-year Army veteran, who served in the Korean War and active duty through Vietnam and The Gulf War.  Elizabeth was a homemaker raising their six children.  Richard and Elizabeth met at Ford Lanes.  As a family, we spent many summers camping up in northern Michigan, Richard and Elizabeth were heavily involved in their children's athletics and dance activities, attending Detroit Tiger games and spending time with their grandchildren.
