Loftus, Richard G. Age 87. August 16, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Janette, married for 57 wonderful years. Loving father of Brian (Ann), Lawrence (Mary), Nancy (Barry) Kaltz, Richard A. (Jacquie), John (Joanne), Linda (Dan) Sheldon, Kathleen (Michael) Arend, and the late Timothy (Monica). Brother of Beverly Shields, Sue Ann Loftus, Michael and the late Donald. Survived by 20 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Richard enlisted in the Army Air Corps at the age of 17 and retired from Michigan Air National Guard in 1978. Retired from Ford Motor Company after 35 years. Member of Knights of Columbus and usher at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Enjoyed hunting, fishing and spoiling his grandchildren! Visitation Wednesday 4-9pm, Scripture service is tentatively at 7pm at the Dearborn Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Homes 22546 Michigan Ave. Funeral Mass Thursday 11am with gathering at 10:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 22430 Michigan Ave. Dearborn.
