Rita Durfy was born in Toledo, Ohio, on September 19, 1943, to Richard and Marie (Cutcher) Hergenrather.

Survived by husband Thomas Durfy and children, Richard Durfy and Randall (Judith) Durfy. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon (Raymond) Wilson, and brother, Kenneth (Shirley) Hergenrather.

She was a devout catholic and a member of St. Kateri Catholic Church.

Rita was a strong and independent woman who enjoyed volunteering at the Dearborn Senior Center and participating in Red Hat activities. She was a loving wife, mother, and a caring friend to those who knew her.

Visitation will be held at St. Kateri, 16101 Rotunda Dr, Dearborn, MI 48120, Monday April 22, 2024 at 10:00am until the time of service 11:00am
