Robert Carter, born in Detroit Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2021 at the age of 84. Loving husband of Jean for 63 years. Beloved father to Sue Ann Krammer (David), Dr. Robert Carter (Catherine) and Sandra Neis (Richard). Adoring grandfather to Amy Matusicky (Jeff), Casey Krammer – Westray  (Matt), Brian Carter (Jamie Lynn), Katherine Devlin (Nick), Michelle Carter, Rachel Carter, Philip Carter, and Jack Neis, and great grandchildren Carter, Sam, Maverick and Aurora. Loving son of the late Arthur and Kathryn Carter and brother to the late Ernie, Arthur, Danny, and Angel. A long time resident in the Detroit area, Robert (Bob) was an avid outdoorsman. Bob managed sporting good stores throughout his career and also was a sales representative for various sporting goods. The simplest pleasures of photography, golfing, hunting, and fishing were all passions enjoyed with both friends and family for most of his life. A special craft gift from Uncle Bob and Aunt Jean was always under the Christmas tree. Bob was always known to have a cookie bone in his pocket for the grand dogs. Bob will be forever missed and remembered fondly by  all who knew and loved him.

Due to the pandemic, no formal service will be held, only a small private family gathering.
