Robert Choate of Taylor, MI passed away Monday, June 9, 2025 at the age of 81.

Bob was raised by his adoptive parents, Stacy and Edith Choate in Jackson, MI.

Bob married Dorothy on October 20, 1967 at St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Detroit by Father Edgar Misiolek.

Bob worked for the IRS as a Special Agent and then at Ford Motor Company as a Computer Programmer.  He is a former Marine and Army National Guardsman.

Bob gained a love for antiques and model trains and their trips were often centered around these hobbies.

Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy; daughter Cathleen (Dave) Danes plus an extended loving family of in-laws, cousins, friends and his pet bird, Bogart.

Donations can be made to your local American Legion, VFW Post or Wounded Warrior Project.

Visitation on Friday, June 13, from 1:00-8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. located at the Taylor location of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services 9800 Telegraph Rd. Taylor, MI 48180. The funeral mass will be Saturday, June 14, at 12:00 p.m. with a gathering prior at 11:30 a.m. located at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church 3965 Merrick St. Dearborn Heights, MI 48125
