Robert A. Genise passed away on March 28, 2023 at the age of 92. He is survived by his dear sister, Theresa Genise Urban. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews: James Genise, Vince Genise, Marie Kuehl, Thomas Genise, David Genise, Roger Genise, Paul Mercurio, Joseph Genise, Judy Shank, Michelle Mestrovich, Dr. Kimberly Shepard, and Mark Urban.

Robert was predeceased by his parents, Vincent and Lena Genise, brothers, Lawrence and Eugene, and sister, Rose Mercurio.

Robert spent his career selling fine suits and clothing at Hughes and Hatcher. He enjoyed travelling and dancing, and in his retirement years, he would volunteer his time at hospitals and senior centers. Through his life, he was a devout Catholic and active member at Divine Child, Sacred Heart, and St. Anselm churches.

A memorial Mass will be held at Divine Child Catholic Church on Thursday, April 27, 2023. Gathering at 9:30am until time of Mass at 10am. He will be inurned with his parents at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, MI.
